Legacy Erased

Sigh, what a sad few days. All the way from the death of Thaddeus Cheong to the Benoit family tragedy, it has been a trying week. Looking to God seems more vital than ever in these circumstances.

It is now difficult to look at Chris Benoit the same way anymore, which is sad because professionally, this guy put together the most consistent set of strong American style matches ever. Obviously, he had problems with handling family and all, with Daniel having Fragile X syndrome didn't help.. This doesn't excuse the action but I think we are looking for some explanations and perhaps this does provide a few answers. Now he will be remembered for these heinous acts rather than as a standout sports entertainer.I guess teh outrage is justified given the transgression and the world doesn't forgive easily. Perhaps it is only the ones who really followed his career closely that will appreciate the Wolverine's body of work now. Even then, there will always be a blood-stained tinge on his whole career now. No HOF WWE or Observer style, nor any good memories. Sigh. That's not sadder than Daniel and Nancy and Chris being killed but personally I cant help but feel a tinge of regret over a lost legacy as well.
