What is it to be emo these days? Haven't kids always been emotional wrecks since the dawn of time? They have, only its just so fashionable to be a drama queen these days. "Oh dear my life is so tough! Woe is me!" Its like the Romantic poets for the 21st century.

It makes you want to smack their little heads and say "Wake up! Life is there for the taking. Yes, we get emotional obstacles all the time but to be an emotional ball all the time is just ridiculously self-indulgent"
